ArsenalArsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, says it was important for his team to secure the three points in Sunday’s English Premier League match against Bournemouth.

Wenger, who said the Gunners had a strong start and were 2-0 in front with a good convincing performance, stressed however, that they were weak in some periods and suffered a bit more.

“It was important for us to not concede a goal,” the Frenchman said, adding that “the second half was about keeping the result than continuing our flow in the game”.

The Arsenal manager said that his side had not won in a while for two reasons as they had gone four games without a win, admitting that their confidence had dropped a bit.

“There were some moments where Petr Cech had to make some saves. It was very close to the end but I do not think they created many chances,” he said.

Wenger also acknowledged that Bournemouth was a good team, adding that they could beat any team.

In spite of losing to the Gunners, he said they maintained their physical level from the first to the last minute of the game.
