Liverpool Agree Deal For Arsenal's Oxlade-Chamberlain - Reports

Oxlade-ChamberlainArsenal winger, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out for up to two months with a fresh knee injury.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has not played for the Gunners since injuring his knee against Barcelona in the Champions League in February, will now miss out on Euro 2016.

His manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that the 22 year-old England midfielder will not recover in time to make Roy Hodgson’s squad for this summer’s tournament in France.

England’s first Group B game is against Russia in Marseille on Saturday, June 11.

Meanwhile, in spite of the setback for club and country, Arsene Wenger insists that his club’s target is guaranteed Champions League qualification for next season which means finishing either second or third in the English Premier League.

Wenger believes the future of Arsenal Football Club could depend on the result of the Manchester City match

Arsenal are currently third with 67 points, three behind Tottenham in second; the Gunners will play Manchester City who are fourth with 64 points in Manchester on Sunday and Aston Villa a week later.

A fourth place finish would mean having to play a qualifying round to reach the group stages.
