NSCDC, KwaraThe Kwara State command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has paraded two suspects allegedly involved in money doubling, fraud and attempt to defraud a woman of nearly 700,000 Naira.

Parading the two suspects, the state commandant of the corps, Pedro Awili said that the suspects firstly collected over 100,000 Naira from a businesswoman at Adeta in Ilorin West Local Government Area with an intent to use the money to buy a certain chemical to double the money.

Luck, however, ran against them when they came to collect the balance of 500,000 Naira before the woman realized that she has been duped. She alerted the corps which swung into action.

This led to the arrest of the two men who gave fake names and states of origin to the woman.

The Commandant warned the people to always be careful of whom they deal with and always be security conscious.

The two men confessed to the crime in an interview and pleaded for leniency. They claimed to be doing it for the first time.
