The Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has noted that the state has been protected from the adverse effects of attacks on the nation’s oil installations, because of the prayers from the Christian community.
The governor’s statement followed the one-day peace and prayer rally organised by the Catholic Diocese in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The rally was held at the premises of Corpos Christi with people carrying inscriptions of prayer for security in the state.
Organisers of the rally say it was time to pray against the incidences of kidnapping, other crimes and militancy.
