15 people have been injured after a failed Syrian asylum seeker blew himself up with a backpack bomb near a festival in the town of Ansbach in south Germany.
Minister of Interior of the state of Bavaria, Joachim Herrmann, revealed that the 27-year-old man detonated the bomb after he was stopped from entering the music festival.
Report says that about 2,500 people were evacuated from the venue following the explosion.
Bavaria has been on edge since a knife rampage on a train which Islamic State claimed responsibility for.
BBC says the Ansbach blast occurred at about 22:10 on Sunday, outside the Eugens Weinstube bar in the centre of the town with a population of more than 40,000 people.
