A Civil Society Organisation, Zero Corruption Coalition, has petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over what it called diversion of funds and a breach in the nation’s Public Procurement Act by Manitoba Hydro Limited.
Founder of the Organisation, Senator Dino Melaye, who was at the EFCC headquarters to submit the petition, alleged that the company fraudulently diverted funds meant to improve the nation’s electricity supply.
Some officials of the EFCC were on hand to receive the petition.
Senator Melaye said that he expects the EFCC to act swiftly to address the issue.
