Cholera outbreak in South SudanOver 1,000 people with various medical challenges in Akwanga Local government council of Nasarawa State have received free medical treatment from the state government.

The gesture, according to government officials, would help people at the grassroots access free medical care.

The beneficiaries of the free medical care expressed gratitude to the government for the effort targeted at alleviating their health care needs.

The initiative is in partnership with a team of 73 health professionals, including consultants from the area who volunteered to cater for the health needs of their people.

In all, 58 people with severe health challenges were operated, while 627 people were treated of malaria, typhoid and eye problems.
