Killings: Five Governors To Visit Affected States On Fact-Finding Mission

Kodomun, AdamawaMonths after Kodomun community in Adamawa State was attacked by gun welding herdsmen, various organisations have continued to identify with them.

Most recent was the visit by the Christian Council of Nigeria, a block of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

The group comprises of the Baptist Church, Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (non-diocesan), Anglican, Methodist, United Evangelical Church, Presbyterian, Aladura and the African Church.

They converged on the village square in Kodomun on Sunday to show love to the villagers.

Leading of the team, Reverend Philip Shehu, said they were in Kodomun to present some relief materials to the victims of the attack.

He prayed that God would comfort them in their trying time.

A member of the team, Reverend Nelson Malan, who spoke on how to prevent future occurrence of such attack, urged security agencies to be proactive in attending to security reports.

The relief materials donated include food items and clothing among others.

Receiving the items on behalf of his people, Kodomun community leader, Mr Francis Mbwarano, thanked the organisation for their kind gesture.

An indigene of Enugu State who has been in the community for some years, Osita Okpara, appealed for government’s assistance, noting that the attack has made life unbearable for them.
