EFCC Tasks Women On Anti-Corruption WarThe Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), has re-arraigned a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Mohammed Umar (rtd), before the Federal High Court in Abuja, on a seven-count charge of money laundering.

He was accused of criminal breach of trust and corruption to the tune of about 7.3 billion Naira, which he had allegedly removed from the Nigerian Air Force, while he was in office.

Umar, however pleaded not guilty to all the seven counts charged read to him before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba on Wednesday.

On May 11 2016, the defendant had also been arraigned before Justice Ninta Nyako, in the same court.

The alleged 7.3 billion Naira was said to have been used to secure various property in Abuja, Kano, as well as Kaduna.
