The Federal Government says it is committed to supporting developmental aspirations of all states of the federation, to achieve the change promised to Nigerians by the Buhari led administration.
The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola made thhis known during his visit to Aba, the Abia State capital.
The Minister said work was in progress at Ikot-Ekpene transmission station which when completed would improve power situation in the area.
He hinted that the issues with the Geometric Power station in Aba had been resolved with the assistance of the Vice President,Yemi Osinbajo and promised that the impact would be felt soon.
“My visit here is a whistle stop tour just to see the kind of progress that our contractors are making in various states.
“Let me first say that I bring warm tidings and felicitations from the Federal Government of Nigeria,and in particular, his Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I have his mandate to share with you a commitment of the Federal Government to partner with all states in the Federal Republic of Nigeria to support their development aspirations, and to achieve the change that he promised Nigerians in this pursuit” he added.
