Air Force To Induct Two Newly Acquired AircraftThe Nigerian Air Force says it has taken delivery of two MI-35m attack helicopters acquired from Russia.

The Director of Operations in the Air Force, Air Vice-Marshal Adebayo Amao, made the disclosure at an event in Abuja.

He expressed optimism that the development would aid the counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations against Boko Haram terrorists in the North-east.

Air Vice-Marshal Amao hinted that more of the latest version of the aircraft are expected from Russia, as well as trained pilot officers to be deployed in conflict zones across Nigeria.

He said the Air Force has expanded its scope of operations beyond the north-eastern enclaves of Boko Haram terrorists, having almost achieved its mission in the area.
