Two More Suspects Arrested Over Tulip School KidnapThe Borno State Police Command has uncovered a syndicate supplying terrorists with daily needs from Maiduguri.

The Commissioner of Police, Damian Chukwu said in a news conference that two men have so far been banned for supplying fuel and good items to the Boko haram terrorists at Alagarno and other camps in the bush.

“The suspect operates with a green coloured pick up van and usually conveys firewood on his return from the bush.”

The CP added that the suspect “goes to the bush to fetch firewood and when he gets there, he runs into these Boko haram terrorists either by arrangement or by accident.

“But they allow him to take his firewood or whatever he wants from the bush, then they give him money to buy some food items, petroleum and other things to bring it back when next he returns for firewood.”

CP Chukwu further noted that following the information, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad team was detailed to arrest the culprit who upon interrogation confessed his relationship with the Boko Haram.

“He was arrested with sum of ten thousand Naira on him with which he was meant to buy motor cycle spare parts for them.

“He has also confessed that 15 other accomplices engage in the same acts running errands for the insurgents.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation a 19 year old boy was also nabbed posing in military uniforms and brandishing a gala gun to terrorise and extort money from unsuspecting residents.

The commissioner stated that, “Because of the insurgency and the ongoing fight championed by the military, we are in a semi military environment.

“And now people have these uniforms of security agencies which they use to extort money from people.

“When they come we advise them to use their common sense to ensure they are not duped or harmed.”

The CP also disclosed that others arrested are cattle rustlers and robbers using tricycles in the metropolis.
