Sand Eagles’ forward, Abu Azeez has blamed fatigue for Nigeria’s loss to Italy in their opening match of the FIFA Beach World Cup.
Nigeria began its campaign with a 6 to 12 loss on Thursday night with Italian striker, Gabriele Gori scoring 6 times.
Although he admits Italy were the better side on the day, Azeez believes their late arrival in the Bahamas which affected their fitness levels played a crucial role in the loss.
Nigeria will look to earn their first victory of the tournament when they take on Mexico on Saturday.
