Ifeanyi UbahThe Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos has ordered the Department of State Security to release the Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Limited, Mr Ifeanyi Ubah, adding yet another twist to the legal tussle between the security agency and the business man.

Justice Mohammed Idris ordered the DSS to release Mr Ubah, who has been in its custody for almost three weeks, unconditionally within 48 hours.

The DSS arrested Mr Ubah on May 5, accusing him of engaging in acts of economic sabotage including the illegal sale of petroleum products stored in his tank farm by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.

Mr Ubah, however, filed an ex-parte application before the Federal High Court, asking him to compel the DSS to release him.

Justice Idris, in his ruling on the application, dismissed the objection of the DSS.
