Nigerian Military Restates Commitment To Impartiality

Operation Safe Haven Nabs Crime Suspects In PlateauThe special task force maintaining law and order in Plateau State and parts of Bauchi, Operation Safe Haven, has arrested 11 suspects allegedly terrorising residents in Jos metropolis and its environs.

The Commander of the task force, Major General Rogers Nicholas, paraded the suspects at the task force headquarters in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

He said at least seven of them were killed with over 50 weapons and firearms recovered during the operation that led to their arrest.

The remaining suspects were paraded along with different types locally made rifles and pistols, communication gadgets, as well as various uniforms belonging to the military and other paramilitary outfits.

One of the suspects who is a tricycle rider claimed that his life was in danger and sought for help from a friend who gave him a locally made pistol.

Major General Nicholas urged the people to cooperate with the task force by providing useful information on the activities of criminals in the state.
