T.O.P, a member of South Korean boy band Big Bang, left the emergency intensive care unit at a Seoul hospital on Friday after recovering from a drug overdose.

Doctors at Seoul’s Ewha Womans University Mokdong hospital said on Wednesday that the K-pop star was admitted into the emergency ward, after he was found overdosed on benzodiazepine, a drug typically used to treat anxiety or depression.

He will be moved to another hospital for follow-up medical treatments, the hospital said.

The incident came a day after T.O.P, whose real name is Choi Seung-hyun, was indicted without detention on charges of smoking marijuana in October last year, South Korea’s news agency Yonhap said.

He could face a maximum of five years jail term or a fine of up to 50 million won ($44,503) if found guilty.
