The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) Zonal Commanding Officer of Zone 4 comprising of Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau, Jonas Agwu has advocated the need to strengthen inter agency synergy to achieve its mandate.

He was speaking during a familiarisation visit to Nasarawa state command of the federal road safety corps.

“We are all working for the good of the state, we must make that a priority and make make everyone understand that no one agency can do the job alone”

“Sometimes we have issues of crashes that occur late in the night and because we are not armed, you need some back up to assist you in such places”

“We want to strengthen inter agency collaboration in the state and the zone because that is one of the planks on which we can build our operations”

“For us advocacy is one of the strongest tools. We want to improve on public enlightenment in order to reach out to not just drivers but the general public so that road safety becomes a friend to people in the state and the zone.

That is the only way we can get our results when people stop seeing us as enforcers but as their brothers who are in uniforms helping them to stay alive”, he said.
