In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President, Mr Femi Adesina, the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, said the President was very cheerful and has not lost any bit of his sense of humour.

Okorocha, who is also the chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, added that the party delegation spent more than an hour with President Buhari over lunch.

He said the President was delighted to receive the delegation and asked each governor about affairs in his state. He also asked the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, about the state of the railways.

The President has been in the U.K for almost 80 days where he has been undergoing medical treatment.

His absence has brought a lot of criticism from some Nigerians who feel that the President ought to have addressed the citizens formally since his trip on May 7.

Although President Buhari has hosted some top government officials and sent messages home as well as addressed Nigerians via an audio message, much of the agitation comes from the fact that he has failed to send a video message and has rather chosen to share only pictures.

Meanwhile, the purported visit of the PDP delegation is coming in the face of some criticism from the Leader of the PDP Governors and Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose.

He recently, again, asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign, alleging that he was on life support as opposed to reports that he was recuperating.
