The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has received the 2017 Supplementary appropriation bill of N114 bn from the State Executive Arm.
The bill titled, ‘A law to make supplementary provision for the service of Akwa Ibom State for the year ending 31st December 2017, scaled second reading on the floor of the House, Tuesday.
The Supplementary bill has a capital expenditure proposal of N3bn while N111bn is budgeted for recurrent expenditure.
Speaker of the House, Onofiok Luke while referring the matter to the House Committee on Appropriation and Finance, headed by Hon. Usoro Akpanusoh for in depth study, gave it two days (Thursday) to report back to the House.
He asked the Committee to interface with the Ministry of Finance to furnish it with capital receipts for the expenditure.
