It is now four days since the Concerned Nigerians group commenced its sit-out protest to demand the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari if he fails to resume within eight weeks.

The protest which is themed #ResumeOrResign by the group has been taking place at the Unity Fountain in Abuja since the beginning of the week.

Led by popular entertainer, Charly Boy, the group also has some notable Nollywood actors and members of the Bring Back Our Girls group joining the protest.

The atmosphere is calm today with the presence of the Police officers.

Meanwhile, another group, which goes by the name Coalition For Good Governance and Change Initiative is holding a counter protest in the Federal Capital Territory.

The group was seen with several banners some of which read, “our President is recuperating, Nigeria is moving forward’, the system is working, no cause for alarm”.

Pro-Buhari protesters

The President has been in the United Kingdom for over 90 days where he has been undergoing medical treatment.

Governors and several top government officials have paid him visits in London, confirming that he is recuperating fast and would return as soon as his doctors give the go ahead.
