The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation [NFF] on Monday, July 26 asked its Secretary General, Mr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba to proceed on compulsory leave following a board meeting in Abuja, the nation's capital city.

Mr. Ojo Oba is the most high-profile casualty of a house-cleaning campaign being embarked upon by the new board led by Aminu Maigari following the sacking of Sani Lulu.

The two key administrative officials also asked to join Mr. Ojo-Oba on compulsory leave are Mrs. Saidat Adegoke, Head of Administration, and Mr. Sunday Okhai, Head of Referees Unit, while Chief Media Officer Ademola Olajire has been suspended indefinitely.

A member of the Executive Committee, Obinna Ogba, who announced the decision by the NFF, explained that Ojo-Oba had not gone on leave since being employed by the federation.

Olajire's offence was tied to a mix up in the national anthems during the African Youth Championship qualifier at the National stadium in Abuja on Saturday, July 24.

Assistant Secretary General (Administration), Mr. Musa Amadu has been asked to stand in for Ojo-Oba, who is not expected to return, while Mr. Robinson Okosun will take Olajire's place as the new Chief Media Officer.
