Audio recordings of Farouk Lawan and Femi Otedola is a comedy – Mike Ozekhome

Mike Ozekhome, lawyer to the suspended Chairman of the House of Representatives ad-hoc committee which probed the management of fuel subsidy, Farouk Lawan on Tuesday said that the second audio clip of the telephone conversation between his client and the Chairman of Zenon oil and Gas, Femi Otedola was doctored.

Mr Ozekhome, was reacting to the airring of a second audio recording of the purported telephone conversation between Misters Lawan and Otedola.

    I’m so ashamed of most of our Nigerian lawyers. If the voice is not that of Farouk, can Mike then tell us who’s voice that is. In any case, many of us know that these big thieves steal and use part of their loot to hire hire some shameless lawyers to defend them. I wish this was America, Farouk will rot in the prison and this comedian lawyer will join him. Remember that Ibori’s lawyer is already in the prison for wanting to aid a thief like Ibori to evade justice. Shame on all of you thieves that are dragging down this country.       Let’s not just accept it to be Farouk’s voice as his Lawyer has said. He said it not his client’s voice so you need to wait for what they intend to do before rush to judgement.

    It’s understandable that Mike Ozekhome is working hard to justify his pay. Going by the content of the audio recording, can Mike please tell us if indeed Farouk did not spring a surprise on the floor of the House during the presentation of his report just as he promised Femi he would do in this audio recording?

      Why would
      his Lawyer need to poke holes in a case that would never be
      recognized in the
      eyes of the law? The tapes are being released to
      the public has messed up any
      case they might have had against him in
      the first place. When a case in court,
      it is not meant to be released
      to the public as I am aware Otedola, the SSS
      with their lawyers
      would be aware of. So please look at these releases with a
      critical
      mind because with money a man can be changed into man on tape. We
      should
      not be gullible ppl.

    Sorry for you guys but you seem to forget this is a lawyer. He is showing he is well trained. His job is to poke holes in the evidence against his client.  Can you imagine what will happen if he manages to exonerate Farouk, his service charge will quadruple. Lets just enjoy the show.

    Lawyer Mike: You don’t need to tell us all these.  Please go and say it in court.  This case is being turn into another thing entirely.  Before you know it now, some group will stand up from the north can start reading tribalism into it.

    There is a correlation between the collection of Dollar 620,000.00 by Farouk Lawan and the the Committee expunging Otedola’s companies from the list of indicted companies. as part of honour and due diligence, Lawan should have tendered the Dollars and insist in indicting  Otedola’s Companies in his Report. Lawan is blowing hot and cold, Dollars given to Jagaba had been denied. Where are the Dollars. Are they sacred cows. A respectable govt should have charged the Giver and the Receiver to court. This is a shame on Jonathan’s govt. The Spirits are at the mercy of the down trodden “Nigerian”
