I left Okotie’s house blameless – Stephanie Henshaw

It’s been three weeks now since Pastor Chris Okotie and his wife, Stephanie Henshaw separated.

Pastor Chris Okotie announced their separation to his congregation on a Sunday morning just before he began his usual sunday sermon. The separation has so far generated lots of criticism and questions from Nigerians, but Pastor Okotie has failed to respond to any of the critics.Stephanie  on the other hand spoke out on Tuesday via her Facebook wall,  explaining in details why and how the divorce happened. According to her, she was sent packing by Pastor Chris for no just cause.

    the pastor must take his wife back if really he want the spirit of God into his life  just like other did say what example will the both couple show to not only the church but the world at large the bible is the stand and guardian to all believers . may God have mercy to us all .

          I think that all people talking negative about this man should know that is only God that has the right to condem some body. The best thing we can do for this two love birds is to pray for them. It is not late and they can still united again. Divorce has been pronounce and God can still change their man and open their eye to see the reason they should be together. I dont like people adding salt to injuries. Please lets pray for them and not to mixed up already coloured water

    I dont really expect all these reactions from people,going by okoties background as a lost sheep who claimed to have been called when he knew things were going down for his musical career;so from the onset his call is 419 in nature and his church is a household of satan to whom he owes his allegiance right from his night clubbing;drugging and fornicating days.

    May be there is another pretty, younger and sweeter lady around! If she has been cooking for him for about ten years before they got married, then there is 90% assurance that she extends the care to the cozy bed!!!

    Please, all those who are saying we should not judge, only God can judge, I will like to know where you all got that from? Definitely not the Bible. Part of our problem in this country is our inability to call a spade, a spade. Chris Okotie is very wrong for divorcing his wife and this is even a more grievous offense since he calls himself a pastor of God.

    The unfortunate thing here is not about Chris Okotie and his estranged bedmate of over 10years standing, but the harm that this indiscipline is bringing to Christendom in Nigeria, because tell it not in Gath, say it not in the street of Askelon, because the heathens and muslims are laughing at who is a Christian pastor to scorn. 

    Apostle Paul said, I consider a thing (any act), though it may be legitimate for me to do, I would rather suffer and not do it, if it will mislead others away from the faith. This is the cross and self denial that a Christian especially a pastor and his wife are to carry. 

    GOD ALMIGHTY cannot be happy when “love” collapses, then you are of your father the devil, when you do what does not make GOD ALMIGHTY happy, but brings shame. 

    I am imagining what Chris Okotie tells his younger congregation, because he celebrated his 51years last month. But the Bible warns us, let he that thinks he stands take heed, lest he falls, so I too examine myself on daily basis and try to master the devils.

      Thank you abunch my friend. I have been pondering over the words of the “MOG” to really understand what he meant by ‘irreconcilable difference’ carefully. Are there new converts in that church? and what possibly are they being thought as new babes in Christ. If Jesus can suffer all to reconcile humanity to Sinless God, i really need more understanding to stand this pastor with such utterances. I hope its another journalistic twist to tickle our fancy or tempers. Even at that, wisdom demands temporary separations to work out things and not divorce.

    1 Corinthians 7:10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband.

    1 Corinthians 7:11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.

    Let Him or Her who have ear hear, be they Bishops, Reverend, G.O, Pastor or Christains.

    Hmmmmmmm, no comment, I am just observing, every hidden thing must come up. God is calling the church to holiness. Going by what the church is today, I think the church is aboard a flight to hell. Jesus Christ is coming for the church without spot or wrinkle. God help us all.

    Okotie is not a pastor at all,for calling himself a pastor and divorcing like a dog is shameless.In the first place why would he married a divorce woman.what does his bible teaches about that? His judgement is with God not we human. And for those going to his church beware?especially couples don’t let him destroy ur marriage. A time will come okotie will call him self God watch and See.

    I’m surprised that Ms. Henshaw has the nerve to be calling on God to for vindication when she claimed to have been this man’s closest friend for 15 years, cooked all his meals for the past 10 years, did all these while this man was still married to and living with his wife at that time and children from that union. You were the mistress who stole the joy and happiness of another woman and her children. This man threw out his then wife and married you, you can not in all honesty tell the whole world now that did all that as christian woman. Did you not expect to reap what you have sown? Satan used you to, break that union, stole away joy and peace of that woman and her children. And please don’t play the card of “I gave and didn’t receive”, you will be sinning against God because the man gave you a better lifestyle.
