Farouk Lawan’s bribery allegation is not a sting operation – Former Minister

Former Minister of Work, Adeseye Ogunlewe on Monday said that the $3 million bribe allegations involving the suspended Chairman of the House of Representatives ad-hoc committee that probed the management of the subsidy fund, Farouk Lawan and the Chairman of Zenon oil and Gas, Femi otedola is not a sting operation.

Mr Ogunlewe was speaking while responding to questions from Channels Television Sunrise Daily’s presenters.

    The reasoning of the Channels presenters is unbelievably poor!

    I wonder what aspect of the thought process of Senator Ogunlewe’s reasoning required rocket science thinking that the two presenters could not understand.

    Channels, this is not good at all.

    The gentleman has said it all. Public officials are paid to serve the public interest, they did not. They are first culpable!

    It takes two elements for fraud to occur: Accessibility and Availability. It is the responsibility of government officials to ensure that the first element is guarded. Probe should be focussed on responsible individuals that created the access.

     On a similar note as “Concernedresidentinmagodo”, It is imperative that Journalist are able to exhaust their questioning strategy to have a broad view and cover every opinion raised with the commentator to be fair and balance. However, one must be careful not to come across as being completely opposed to the sound idea the  Former Senator and Minister raised. Lately the presenters have been tilting that balance unduly and it looks very unprofessional and lacks competency

    These presenters are dummies. Can’t these two understand simple logic? The approval authorities- Fed Min of Finance, NNPC and the Presidency are the culpits. The money has been used for election, nothing would happen. This is Nigeria!
