Supporters Club Rolls Out The Drums in Rustenburg, South Africa
Supporters of the Super Eagles of Nigeria from various parts of the world, especially Nigerians in the region where the Afcon 2013 is currently taking place have started singing victory songs as the Nigeria-Ethiopia clash begins in Rustenburg, South Africa.
This does not only include ordinary Nigerians in South Africa but eminent ones too such as the Consul-General of the Nigeria High Commission in South Africa, Mr Okey Emuchay, who could not but lend his support to the Super Eagles while on a courtesy call to members of the Nigeria Football and Other Sports Supporters Club, led by its President-General, Dr. Rafiu Oladipo in Johannesburg.
Mr. Emuchay said the setback experienced in the Nigerian sports sector over the years is as a result of the neglect of grassroots sport which has always served as a boost to Nigeria’s performance on the international scene, having produced famous Nigeria sportsmen and women who are household names today.
The match which is right now on-going at the Royal Mafikeng Stadium in Rustenburg, South Africa, is a make-or-mar for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
