The Federal Capital Territory Committee on National Dialogue has suggested five per cent revenue allocation to the nation’s capital.

The Chairman of the Committee and former minister of the FCT, Mr. Aliyu Modibbo who submitted the memorandum to members of the national dialogue committee also advocated a four-year fixed tenure for the minister of the federal capital and the establishment of a state assembly that would legislate on issues that affect the federal capital.

Many groups, who made presentations at the meeting, suggested that all ethnic groups in the country should be represented in the proposed National Dialogue.

One after the other, representatives of diverse groups stepped out to make presentations on the matter at hand.

A Former senate president, Ameh Bute, laid emphasis on the duration and composition of membership of the proposed National Dialogue.

For residents of the capital city, issues of a resettlement area for indigenes of the nation’s capital must be given top priority as many of them have been rendered homeless owing to issues of land policy.

In all, many of those who submitted memorandum for the National Dialogue believe that Nigeria will remain indivisible despite its daunting challenges.
