A bomb has gone off at the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, secretariat located within the premises of the Ahoada East High Court in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria.
Reports say that no lives were lost and nobody was injured in the blast which went off at about 2:00 am, local time, on Monday.
Within the court premises, is the court presided over by Justice C. N. Wali, the judge who on December 16, 2013, made an interim order barring Evans Bipi, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, from parading himself as the Speaker of the House.
The impact of the explosion was said to have destroyed the office of the Nigerian Bar Association.
No one has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast.
