roadMore than N30 Billion has been spent on the provision of access roads to several local government areas in Kaduna State under the present administration led by Governor Muktar Yero.

Kaduna is faced with challenges of bad road networks especially in the rural areas.

The State Commissioner of Works and Transport, Mr Bashir Aliyu who disclosed this to Channels Television, said that 39 road projects, 10 of which are completed, are geared towards reducing poverty and linking up all parts of the state.

The state is partnering with the World Bank, the federal and participating local governments to open up rural access roads under the Road Access and Mobility Project (RAMP).

Aliyu disclosed that the road projects are expected to be completed within a period of five months. He warned that contractors whose work are not completed on schedule will have their contracts revoked and re-awarded  to those who are serious.
