kayode_fayemiThe Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Wednesday obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Form to seek re-election as Governor of the state, at the price of 5.5 million Naira.

Governor Fayemi, who obtained his nomination at the national headquarters of the party in Abuja, said that he was seeking re-election so as to consolidate on the good works of his administration.

The interim Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Ekiti State, Jide Awe, addressing the large crowd and the party members on arrival of the Governor from Abuja, explained that the people had made a right choice from beginning.

Also, the Director-General of Fayemi Campaign Organisation, Bimbo Daramola, while addressing the people at the APC secretariat in Ado Ekiti, said that the large number of Ekiti people at the secretariat was a demonstration of love for the Governor and to appreciate him for the good work he is doing.

Governor Fayemi celebrated his third year in office few months ago with a rally which held in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital. Youths, women representatives, student representatives, market leaders and several leaders of the All Progressives Congress including the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole and Governor of the State of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola were in attendance.

Earlier in the year, the Governor assessed his performance in office where he scored 80 percent. He also said on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise that he had delivered on every category of promise he made in his inaugural speech and on the “Road Map To Ekiti Recovery: The 8 Point Agenda.”
