Akinwale Bolaji
Bolaji is a reporter, presenter, and producer of Channels Television’s prime time business programme, Business Incorporated. She is a financial journalist who started her career seven years ago at Galaxy Television in Lagos as a newscaster and reporter on the Business Desk.
At Channels TV, she has been a news anchor and the presenter of a daily financial programme, Business Morning. Her interest for the job grew over the years, earning her the opportunity to join ‘The Money Show’ team, on Africa Independent Television as a co-anchor. Her contribution to the programme earned it the best financial programme on television during the Pearl Award in 2007, giving AIT the best TV award in the same year. The programme became one of Nigeria’s most watched shows.
Bolaji’s research skills enabled her to present BroadStreet Reports– focusing on Nigeria’s financial market, Money Trade – a programme which provides information on the interbank, treasury bills markets, and African FX which tracks African currencies and the stories that drive development in those countries. Her presentation skills are commendable and she has been able to take the role of the lead anchor many times. While on The Money Show, she presented the Newsroom.
She was on ‘mbsnewstv.com’ and ‘boasonjeffnewswires team which embarked on Nigeria’s first IPTV. She has handled Bond Street, Portfolio Management, The Executive, and Money Trail.
Bolaji’s quest for excellence has endeared her to many viewers both in Nigeria and abroad. She is a team player, and an astute reader.
