Executive Vice-Chairman


Olusola Momoh is the Vice Chairman of the Channels Media Group, comprising Channels Global, Channels 24, Channels Digital, Channels Academy, and its internationally acclaimed flagship network, Channels Television.

The group owns a Television Network License in Nigeria and the UK which enables it to broadcast nationwide on the terrestrial, DTT and DTH platforms in Nigeria and Africa and on the BSkyB platform in the United Kingdom and parts of Europe. Viewers can also watch the station Online (m.channelstv.com) and on a variety of Social Media platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Channels TV programmes are also available on Smart TVs – Apple, Android, Fire and Roku.

The Channels TV network has local bureaus all over Nigeria and international bureaus in Johannesburg, Dubai, London and Washington DC.

Channels has developed strong and unique relationships with international organisations such as the United Nations, Voice of America, Deutsche Welle and the BBC, which allows it to provide its viewers with prompt access to information around the world.

With an experience spanning over four decades, Olusola’s areas of core competency are in Business Development, Commercial Strategy, Finance and Investments, as well as Human Capital Development. Her proficiency in business strategy and management skills ensures that she efficiently drives the Group’s corporate development, as well as its effective use of all corporate resources to raise the organization’s profitability and profile.

As Vice Chairman, she is principally responsible for providing strategic leadership as well as management and oversight in the commercial operations of the company- particularly in the areas of Strategic Client Consolidation, Stakeholder and Community Relations; Organisational Planning, Administration, Finance, Investments and Revenue; Human Capital Development, and Risk Mitigation in a cost effective, time efficient manner.

Olusola has also cultivated a penchant for maintaining the highest levels of ethical and professional standards, which coupled with her strong commitment to excellence continues to enhance Channels’ corporate expansion drive and brand. She is passionate about motivating and mentoring staff, as well as aspiring and young business owners.

Within the group, Olusola has set up workplace ethics framework and flexible systems that give back to employees. She initiated the Channels Women Network, which is a formal medium that encourages the mentorship of young female staff, promotes organisational policies that particularly cater for female staff, and allows female employees to freely discuss matters affecting them in the workplace. Thanks to her leadership and influence, 60% of the company’s skilled staff are female, with more than 50% of them in middle management.

Olusola ensures that the Channels Media Group provides employment opportunities to local residents of its host communities, in addition to providing scholarships to people in need. She was a director at the Convention on Business Integrity, a non-governmental agency that entrenches transparency and due process in corporate organisations. In essence, Olusola’s management discipline underpins the integrity of the Channels’ brand.
She is on the board of trustees of several NGOs dedicated to the wellbeing of Africans and the development of the continent.

Olusola is a graduate of the University of Lagos with a B.Sc. degree in Mass Communication specializing in Print Journalism and a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the same institution. She was a participant at the June 2014 ’ Women Leadership Forum Programme’ of the Harvard Business School.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements in the media (and consequently public service) coupled with the excellent inspiration and leadership her achievements provide to its graduates, Olusola was, in November 2019, awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Business Administration by one of the foremost private Universities in Nigeria – Achievers University, Owo.

Prior to starting Channels Television, Olusola worked with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) as Reporter, Anchor, and Producer and also with the International Merchant Bank IMB Nigeria, in the Corporate Affairs, Treasury and Credit departments.

An excellent home engineer, Olusola Momoh loves interior design, gardening and reading.

She is a member of the Friendship Bible Fellowship. She is happily married to John and they are blessed with three children.
