NDLEA Discovers 6.350kg Of Cocaine in Cosmetic Packs

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA SAYS THAT IT HAS discovered about six-point four kilograms (6.4kg) of pure cocaine at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos.

The agency says that the drug with an estimated street value of over 69 million naira is the purest and single highest seizure of cocaine made by the Airport Command of the Agency this year.

The suspected trafficker, Mrs Soumah Bountou a 44 year old trader from Guinea was allegedly caught on the 19th of September 2009 at about 1030pm on an Iberia flight from Brazil.

The drug is said to have been concealed industrially in makeup kits and packed in two black bags.

The other three suspects according to Alhaji Idris Bello,the NDLEA Assistant Airport Commander in charge of operations and intelligence alhaji idris bello says that the other three suspects are mr Mbamalo Vincent Chukwudi, , a phone engineer mr Uche James Udeh, mr  Ayodele Abiola a.k.a. Kaba Mohammed, 41 who are traders.
