Incredibly large black holes have been discovered by scientists. According to wide reports, these super dense matters, estimated to be about 10 billion times the size of our sun each, are discovered more than 300 million light years away by astronomers from the University of California, Berkeley.
“It’s uncertain how these two newly discovered whoppers originated; usually some are formed by the collapse of a super-size star,” Nicholas McConnell, a Berkeley graduate student who is the study’s lead author, told reporters today Tuesday December 5. “To be so massive now means they must have grown considerably since their formation,” McConnell continued.
A black hole is an object that is so dense that no other mater can penetrate or escape; not even light. The largest black hole known to man before these recent discoveries was estimated at about 6 billion times larger than the sun. It was generally believed that all galaxies have black holes in their centers.
