The director in charge of large taxes at the FIRS, Mr. Ajayi Bamidele says its action was necessitated by years of failure by the agency to comply with its mandate despite a series of warnings.
Mr. Bamidele says that the agency might be forced to take further actions if it refuses to commence payment of remittances owed.
Meanwhile, officials of the FIRS reportedly failed to gain entrance to the Abuja Geographic Information Systems office.
