Motorists and residents of the Federal Capital Territory are trying to cope with the new pump price of petroleum announced by the petroleum product pricing regulating agency on Sunday.

There are queues at the few filling stations with petroleum products in the capital city.
The city is calm with resident going about their normal daily activities. There was a major protest at the FCT that marched down to the Eagles Square to protest the subsidy removal which involved the signing of register and it was spearheaded by Former lawmaker; Mr.Dino Melaye who later was arrested plus other at the point of protest and later released.

Speaking to journalist shortly after their release, Mr. Melaye and his co-protesters say no amount of intimidation will deter them from peacefully protesting what they say is a punishment and untold hardship on Nigerians.

They also say they will go back to ensure that more signatures are collected until government bows to the pressure and rescind its decision
