Trezeguet Presented to River Plate Fans

Former French Player David Trezeguet and midfielder Leonardo Ponzio were presented as new signings for River Plate they have been touted as the players hoping to restore to past glory River Plate who are fighting to return back to Argentina first division.


The 34-year-old Trezeguet is realising a dream by playing for the club he has supported since his boyhood in Buenos Aires before embarking on a successful career as a striker with Monaco, Juventus and France.

Trzeguet has promised on personal terms to do his best in the contribution of togetherness to return the club back to first division and to show pundits that he can still do wonders.

President Daniel Passarella also handed a jersey to David Trezeguet.

River’s administration hopes the players will be able to restore the club to its former glory after an embarrassing string that landed them in Argentina’s second division.

The pair will join Fernando Cavenaghi and Alejandro Dominguez, who both cut short their careers abroad to return to help the club of their youth recover their top flight status
