Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State confirmed that 100 illegal foreigners from Chad, Niger and Ghana were arrested by the state’s command of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
While addressing Makurdi Club 1930 patron’s night over the weekend,the Governor made the announcment and commended the men of the immigration service for the arrest.He stressed the need for Benue citizens to remain alert and report suspicious movement in their neighbourhood to the security agents.
Suswam said his government was willing to cooperate with security agencies and other corporate organization to tackle security challenges in Benue state and create conducive atmosphere for law abiding citizens to do business.
