The Golden Camera Awards in Germany made Amercan Actor,Morgan Freeman the toast of the awards as he was honoured with the lifetime achievement award over his many years of filming career.
Morgan Freeman was handed the top prize of the night at the prestigious awards ceremony in Berlin, and he thanked the crowd in German as he accepted his accolade.
Freeman later told reporters it was “a great honour” to accept the prize.
Freeman who is also a film director, aviator and narrator received Academy Award nominations for his performances in Street Smart, Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption and Invictus and won in 2005 for Million Dollar Baby.
He has also won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Freeman has appeared in many other box office hits, including Unforgiven, Glory, Seven, Deep Impact, The Sum of All Fears, Bruce Almighty, Batman Begins, March of the Penguins, The Bucket List, Wanted, The Dark Knight, and RED.
Denzel Washington also showed off his German speaking skills as he picked up the Best International Actor award, while Scarlett Johansson took home the Best International Actress award.
Dionne Warwick was also honoured for her career achievements at the gala and Dutch jazz sensation Caro Emerald was handed the Best International Music Act prize.
