Bayer Leverkusen Wary of Barcelona Surprise
With the resumption of the Champions League round of 16 games on Tuesday, Bayer 04 Leverkusen billed to meet with the Catalans Barcelona promised to fight to win the ticket to the next round of the Champions League.
Leverkusen Captain; Simon Rolfes confirmed that his squad will leave no stone unturned against the spaniards as they are wary of Barcelona pulling off surprises despite their recent drop in perfomance.
Barcelona has had very bad outing of late and the last of it was their February 11th 2-3 upset against Osasuna which has left Barcelona crawling behind league leaders Real Madrid who are leading with 10 points.
Rolfes said they are not going to be fooled with the recent outings as they will be facing Barcelona man for man so as to achieve their aim;a feat which was poved in September 2001 when Leverkusen won against Barcelona at home 2-1.
Rolfes said that he was confident, that the team “will show a very good performance tomorrow.”
In order to win against Barcelona, Leverkusen’s coach Robin Dutt has to come up with a level of preparation for Leverkusen and the squad has promised to do their best on Tuesday to see Barcelona.
