Athough the Arise Magazine Fashion Week had a slow start, the climax of the event was filled with glitz and glamour with about 77 designers from Africa and beyond show casing their works on the runway.

The annual event which had drawn an impressive attendance ended yesterday with organizers handling out awards to some outstanding participants. .

MNet Face of Africa winner Oluchi Orlandi walked away with the coveted Style Icon award while Kluk CDGT and Maki Oh were named the Designers of the year.

Other winners of the night included Dudley O’Shaughnessy and Temple Muse who were named the Male Designer and Fashion Brand of the Year respectively.
