Sandra Muendane, the Mozambique designer, brought a little extra shimmer to sports wear, mixing jersey fabrics in bold prints with shimmering metallic greys in her collection at the Arise Magazine Fashion Week.

Taibo Bacar, another Mozambique designer who made waves at the AMFW in Lagos last week did so with his collection of flattering dresses, crop jackets and sensual evening wears. The young award-winning designers mix of casual elegance and sophistication won over the fashion crowd at the show.

David David, the UK fashion design label by David Saunders made a bold splash of colour and patterns on the runway at the AMFW show. The collection featured jumpers, fitted pants, cool hoodies and dresses all in pattern fabrics that make a definite bold fashion statement. Plus, we kinda love the socks.

Ohimai Atafo’s strong menswear looks in vibrant colours caught the attention of fashion fans at the Arise Magazine Fashion Week; the Nigerian designer for the uber chic guy or gal shows us why he is at the top of the pack in Nigeria’s thriving fashion industry. Lesson learned from the Mai collection? Be bold when mixing colours fellas; say yes to blues and pinks… embrace it!

South African leading fashion designer Gavin Rajah inspired with his latest collection at the Arise Magazine Fashion Week in Lagos with statement-making designs.
