The third edition of Gulder Ultimate 5-A-side Football Competition will kick off on April 27 with N8m cash prizes at stake. Registration for this year’s edition was opened on Tuesday in Lagos.
While giving the format for this year’s edition, Corporate Affairs Adviser to the Nigeria Breweries Plc, Yusuf Ageni, said every team taking part would have eight players and three officials.
He said, “The stipulated age for the players is 18 years and above. Registration is free and it will close on April 22. There will be six centres across the nation with two teams qualifying from each of the centres to play in the finals in Lagos . For this edition, winner will receive N5m while the second – placed team will go home with N2. The team that finishes in the third position will also be rewarded with a cash prize of N1m while fans at each venues and during the finals will also win prizes.
