Five people, including a 14-month-old baby, died in a fatal car accident on Tuesday at Alapako village on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, reports said.
Mr. Abdulrahman Sadeeq, unit commander of the FRSC in Ogere, confirmed the incident, adding that four others were seriously injured in the car accident which occured in the early hours of the morning.
The victims had been travelling on the Lagos-bound bus from Kano when the bus skidded off its lane and toppled into a ditch at the village.
Sadeeq attributed the tragic accident to reckless driving on the part of the driver.
According to reports, the FRSC officials have confirmed that the victims have been tranpsorted to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu.
