Mercury record, a UK based record label has unveiled Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj, as one of the artistes signed on the international record label.

D’banj was unveiled on the label’s website on Friday alongside a host of other international acts such as Elton John, Bon Jovi,Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Nas, Rick Ross, Ne-Yo, Big Boi-of the Outkast fame-,Fabolous and many others.

Mercury record handles the distribution of works produced by Island Def Jam Music Group, outside the US.

The two companies are subsidiaries of Universal Music Group.

D’banj, recently signed with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, which is also owned Island Def Jam.

According to D’banj’s new website www.dbanjofficial.com, his hit single single “Oliver twist” is set for release May 14th.

He’s also announced that he will perform at the 2012 Barclaycard Wireless Festival July 7.
