Capital market probe resumes

Ensuring that securities regulations are faithfully enforced is one way that needs to be considered to ensure the Nigerian capital market recovers from its slump.

This is one of recommendations put forward by former group managing director of Union Bank, Dr Barth Ebong, as the ad-hoc committee of the House of Representatives investigating the near collapse of the Nigerian capital market resumed sitting.

He also said the strict enforcement of all rules and regulations will help restore and increase investor confidence.
