President Goodluck Jonathan will on Thursday attend an extra-ordinary summit of heads of state and government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire to discuss the current situation in Mali and Guinea-Bissau.

He is expected to return back to the country after a communique is issued at the end of the summit.

The president with then proceed to N’djamena, Chad, on Monday, April 30 to attend the 14th summit of heads of state and government of the Lake Chad Basin Commission to discuss the situation of the Lake Chad.
