Tottenham Hotspurs Coach Harry Redknapp has voiced his support for Bayern Munich to beat Chelsea c both clubs battle it out to claim the European champions league title this season.

According to the Tottenham boss, this is to allow for his club to qualify for the champions’ league slot for next season.

Redknapp said his players should be happy with themselves over their recent achievement, finishing fourth on the table of the English Premier league this season which would have guaranteed their involvement in the prestigious competition.

Redknapp’s men will miss out on it if the Blues beat the Germans in Saturday’s final as they would take their place as defending champions despite coming sixth in the league.

Spurs had gone into the final game hoping to take third place of north London rivals Arsenal, but the Gunners’ 3-2 victory against West Brom, ultimately made their own 2-0 success over Fulham academic.

“All you can do is doing your job. At the start of the year Champions League football, fourth position, I couldn’t have asked for more than that,” Redknapp said.

Normally Redknapp would have been right behind another British side in the Champions League final, particularly one which has his nephew Frank Lampard playing for them, but on this occasion he won’t be wishing him well for next Saturday’s match.
