Super eagles head coach Stephen Keshi has named Vincent Enyeama as the skipper of the team for this weekend 2014 world qualifiers against Namibia.

The Lille of France shot stopper Enyeama is expected to continue in that role until substantive skipper, Joseph Yobo recovers from his injuries.

Keshi said he hopes to beat Namibia so as to restore confidence after two straight losses against Egypt and Peru.

Meanwhile, Montpellier of France winger, John Utaka and Israel-based Austin Ejide arrival has helped shore up the camp of the national team in Calabar.

The Super Eagles’ coach has also expressed his hopes to beat Namibia, so as to restore confidence after two straight losses.

The Super Eagles have lost to Egypt and Peru in friendly matches and Keshi has now insisted his team have to win in Calabar in a 2014 World Cup qualifier against Namibia.

In the training camp, Kano pillars defender Papa Idris today began fitness work in the eagles training camp after he was side-lined for a week by a knee injury.

Papa was left out of the Peru friendly in Lima owing to an injury he suffered while in action for pillars in a league game against Enugu rangers.
