‘Anything done in darkness will come out in lightness’ – Otedola

The Chairman of Zenon Oil and Gas, Mr Femi Otedola on Tuesday, challenged the House of Representatives Committee on Ethics and Privileges to conduct the hearing on the bribery allegation he levelled against Honorable Farouk Lawan in public, saying “nothing done in darkness…..anything done in darkness will always come out in lightness.” 

Mr Otedola who arrived the National Assembly early in the afternoon, refused to speak with the members of the Ethics Committee behind closed doors.

The House of Representatives Committee on Ethics and Privileges invited the billionaire for an investigation into the alleged payment of $620,000 to Mr Lawan, the former Chairman of the House, ad-hoc Committee which probed the management of subsidy fund.

A smiley Femi Otedola, also refused to address the barge of journalists that besieged him as he emerged from the investigation room.

The oil mogul left all the talking to his counsel, Mr. Jide Koko (SAN) , but he quipped that “nothing done in darkness…..anything done in darkness will always come out in lightness.”
