The Joint Task Force (JTF), operation restore order in Maiduguri North-East Nigeria on Friday handed over two stolen but recovered vehicles to their owners.

Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa, the JTF spokesman in Borno State told Channels Television  in Maiduguri that based on intelligent reports, JTF raided the Muna area and made the arrest.

Colonel Sagir said the stolen vehicles Toyota Highlander Jeep with registration number BJ 668 RSH as well as a Honda Hala Car with registration number AL 394 JMT.

According to him, the jeep was stolen in Maiduguri Metropolis while the Honda was stolen at the premises of a Bank in Gulak of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa state and used for the recent attack on the Gulak police station.

He said the Jeep was recovered within Maiduguri metropolis while the Honda was recovered at one of the JTF road blocks at Dambua road, Maiduguri.

Colonel Sagir further said that the owners have met all the requirements for the release of the vehicles.

He then urged the general public to join hands towards s reducing criminality in the state and the nation as a whole, he assured that JTF will continue to work assiduously towards a crime free society.
